This rich weekend immersion is designed for those who have taken Council 1 and have had some experience facilitating council. We will explore working with challenging situations, conflict, and "the shadow."
In council, we allow ourselves to be moved, to get out of our comfort zone, and to navigate how best to be of service to the circle, while maintaining safety and containment. This advanced workshop delves into the varied forms and modalities of council that are best suited to different situations, as well as the joys and challenges of bringing council into different parts of our lives.
This workshop offers an opportunity for council practitioners to become more skilled with "reading the interactive field," recognizing our sharp edges and our own reactivity in council, and to explore "turning into the skid" and inviting the perspective of the witness.
Two veteran council trainers will lead this exciting exploration of activities, practices and tools for embracing wholeness, enriching community, and learning to "think like a circle.”
Fee: $625 includes a council manual, 6 vegetarian meals from Friday evening through Sunday lunch, and two nights shared accommodations.
A letter of intent that includes your prior experience in council or similar circles and prior reading of The Way of Council by Jack Zimmerman and Gigi Coyle.
