This rich weekend immersion with Kate Lipkis and Jeannie Gunter is designed for those who have taken Council 1
and have had some experience facilitating council.
In council, we allow ourselves to be moved, to get out of our comfort zone, and to navigate how best to be of service to the circle, while maintaining safety and containment. This advanced workshop delves into the varied forms and modalities of council that are best suited to different situations, as well as the joys and challenges of bringing council into different parts of our lives. This workshop offers an opportunity for council practitioners to become more experienced with "reading the interactive field," recognizing our sharp edges and our own reactivity in council practice. We will also explore "turning into the skid" and inviting the perspective of the witness.
Two veteran council trainers will lead this exciting exploration of activities and tools for embracing wholeness, enriching community, and learning to "think like a circle.”
In the weeks following this Council 2 Training, The Ojai Foundation will host a 19-day Council Immersion
. This program is a deep dive into the land and into council and it will feature several different workshops, trainings, and celebrations--including the first, official International Council Gathering
